Project Managers – Two Positions Available

About the roles

Due to business growth, PMB Defence is now seeking applications from experienced Project Managers to join our Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an Adelaide based business going through a transformational growth phase.

These roles will be varied in nature, so will require multitaskers who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, working both at a detail and strategic level.  Key focus areas will include leading and managing multidisciplinary projects for customer and contractual requirements and will be responsible for end to end project management, including project planning, costing, scheduling and reporting, as well as engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

These positions have the opportunity to make a difference, support the growth of the company, its staff and in turn grow themselves.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Our ideal applicants would hold appropriate tertiary qualifications, experience in project management, with a manufacturing or engineering background.

We have a range of opportunities  suitable for candidates who may be emerging professionals keen to kick start their career in project management, right through to experienced senior project managers who are keen to pass their knowledge onto the next generation whilst applying their experience.

The successful candidates will have exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills and high-level commercial acumen, with the ability and willingness to be hands on. The ability to work in a dynamic environment is important, as is the ability to influence and provide direction to a diverse team of professionals.

Other requirements

These positions will be required to:

  • Obtain a current police clearance
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screen
  • Undertake six monthly lead in blood testing
  • The ability to obtain an NV1 Australian Defence Security clearance (essential), or hold an existing clearance (desirable)

Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

This position is available for a twelve month parental leave contract, with possibility for extension. This is an excellent opportunity to join an Adelaide based business going through a transformational growth phase. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing processes for central accounting operations, including cash control, maintenance of the general ledger;
  • Preparation of key monthly management reports and analysis of variance to Budget;
  • Managing international accounting and reporting on cash flow, foreign exchange and hedging;
  • Preparing and reviewing the annual group budget for the CFO
  • Playing a key role in the annual audit process to ensure reporting is to deadline and financial information is in accordance with audit requirements;
  • Preparing annual income tax return data for external tax consultants;
  • Ensuring the effective use of current systems, including reviewing and updating systems to improve efficiency and developing new management information systems;
  • Providing assurance services on all important aspects of risk management strategies and practices, management control frameworks and practices, and information used for decision-making and reporting

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

We are seeking applications from experienced CA/CPA qualified professionals. Previous experience in a global, geographically dispersed business is desirable, as is previous exposure to a manufacturing business environment.

The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills and the capability to prioritise competing demands, ensuring excellent attention to detail.

The ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential, as are high level communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and a strong team focus.
