PMB Working With Invest Nova Scotia
PMB Defence will establish a Submarine Battery Facility in Canada to support the TKMS solution for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP).
This facility will include manufacturing, in-service support, engineering and R&D capabilities, establishing a sovereign Canadian industrial capability. Submarine batteries play a critical role in determining the submarine’s endurance, safety, and operational performance.
PMB Defence is working closely with Invest Nova Scotia to help establish this facility. This proactive approach ensures the project is positioned to move quickly into construction following program announcement, de-risking the overall delivery schedule.
If the project proceeds, the facility is expected to generate significant economic benefits, including high-skilled job creation, growth in advanced manufacturing, and opportunities for Canadian firms to participate in global submarine supply chains and export markets.
The initiative positions Canada as a key hub for submarine battery production, leveraging TKMS’s global naval leadership and PMB Defence’s expertise in advanced energy storage systems.
PMB Defence is a global supplier of submarine batteries to various Navies and Customers, including to Canada’s current Victoria Class Submarines.
